Women Spend Years Caring for Everything Except Themselves
Modern women often move constantly between work, family, relationships, responsibilities and expectations. Stress becomes normal. Fatigue becomes normal. Poor sleep becomes normal. Disconnection from the body becomes normal. Hormonal symptoms are often tolerated until they become impossible to ignore — not because stress alone causes them, but because there is rarely space left to notice them, understand them or respond to them.
STRITVA creates deliberate space to interrupt that pattern. It is not seven days of escaping life. It is seven days of understanding how you are living inside your body — and learning how to return to everyday life differently.

Seven Days Designed Around the Female Body
Not a packed wellness itinerary. Not seven days of doing more. STRITVA creates a deliberate rhythm between movement, learning, nourishment, nature, reflection and rest.

Begin With Your Body, Not Your Phone
Mornings begin with breath, movement and stillness — yoga, pranayama and meditation adapted intelligently to where your body is that day, not performed for how it looks. Alongside the practice, women are guided to notice what the nervous system is doing before the day asks anything of them.

Learn the Language of Your Hormones
Women learn the practical foundations of hormonal physiology and how sleep, stress, movement, nutrition and daily rhythms interact with women's health — grounded, evidence-informed sessions, not medical promises.

Food That Supports, Not Restricts
Meals are nourishing vegetarian food, eaten without diet culture, restriction or obsession. STRITVA is not detox food and it is not weight-loss food — it is food that supports a body already doing a great deal of work.

Let Nature Change the Pace
The Himalayas become part of the retreat rhythm — walks, quiet time outdoors and unstructured space that a screen-filled week rarely allows.

Slow Enough to Hear Yourself Again
Reflection, restorative practices, meditation and meaningful conversation — evenings are unhurried, and not every minute is scheduled.

Held in Circle, Every Evening
Each evening closes with a women's sharing circle around the fire — a quiet space to speak, listen and be witnessed without needing to perform wellness or have it figured out.
You Don't Need to Be Unwell to Need Restoration
STRITVA is for women who want to understand and care for themselves more deeply — whether navigating a specific transition
or simply ready for a different rhythm.
Feeling Chronically Stressed
For women who feel constantly switched on and find it difficult to truly rest.
Disconnected From Your Body
For women who have spent years overriding fatigue, hunger, emotions or physical signals.
Navigating Hormonal Changes
For women experiencing menstrual, reproductive or midlife changes who want a deeper understanding of their bodies.
Running on Empty
For women balancing careers, families, caregiving and responsibilities with very little space for themselves.
Seeking Sustainable Wellbeing
For women tired of short-term wellness fixes and wanting practices they can realistically continue at home.
Simply Needing Space
You do not need a diagnosis, crisis or major life event to deserve time to reconnect with yourself.
Eight Elements of Whole-Woman Wellbeing
Eight interconnected elements shape every STRITVA retreat, in either setting.
Women's Yoga
Movement informed by female anatomy, physiology and different stages of women's lives.
Nervous System Regulation
Breath, restorative practices and awareness techniques that support the body's ability to move out of constant activation.
Hormonal Health Education
Understand the relationships between stress, sleep, movement, nutrition, metabolism and women's hormonal health.
Breathwork & Meditation
Practical tools for attention, emotional regulation and inner steadiness.
Nourishing Food
Wholesome vegetarian meals built around nourishment rather than restriction.
Nature & Movement
Walking, outdoor time and movement beyond the yoga mat.
Rest & Reflection
Space intentionally left unscheduled so restoration does not become another task.
Self-Discovery & Integration
Reflection and guided practices that help women understand what needs to change when they return home.
You Don't Need Another Schedule to Keep Up With
Many wellness retreats replace one busy schedule with another. STRITVA should not. There will be structured practices, workshops and shared experiences — but also deliberate space for sleep, nature, silence, reading, reflection or simply doing nothing. Rest is presented as part of the programme, not an absence of one.
Sometimes healing begins not by adding another practice, but by creating enough space to notice what your body has been asking for.
Seven Days. Four Shifts.
Slow Down
Step out of everyday routines, settle into the environment and begin noticing how your body actually feels.
Listen to Your Body
Explore nervous-system patterns, hormonal health, movement, breath, sleep, nutrition and the signals your body has been sending.
Practice Differently
Experience yoga, breathwork, nature, nourishment, rest and reflection without pressure to perform.
Return With Something Real
Identify the practices and lifestyle changes that genuinely belong in your life after STRITVA.
Some Places Help You Hear Yourself Again.
Uttarkashi offers what everyday life rarely does — quiet mornings, mountain air, forest trails, the sound of the Bhagirathi and enough distance from routine to truly slow down. STRITVA is held here deliberately, because restoration becomes easier when the environment itself asks less of you.

Held by a Woman Who's Done the Work Herself

Nisha Ahya
Founder & Lead FacultyNisha founded Stri Wellness in 2018, beginning with a focus on prenatal yoga before it grew into a school built around every stage of women's health. Her teaching blends modern science with the depth of yogic wisdom, shaped by her own path back to health. As she puts it: “I know what it feels like to suffer in your own body without answers.” Women's hormonal health, yoga therapy and nervous-system work sit at the centre of every STRITVA retreat she leads.
