Motherhood Mastery
100-Hour Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training
Anyone can teach pregnancy-safe asanas. Great teachers understand the woman behind them. Our programme prepares you to support her through every stage of motherhood with knowledge, skill and compassion.
Motherhood Is Not a Module. It Is the Curriculum.
A single prenatal weekend cannot prepare a teacher for the physiological, clinical and emotional complexity of pregnancy, labour and postpartum. This programme was never designed as an add-on to a general training — it is a complete discipline, present in every hour of Live Online, Residential and Self-Paced alike.
Most 200-hour yoga teacher trainings mention pregnancy in passing — a weekend workshop, an optional module, taught without deep grounding in maternal physiology. Motherhood Mastery is built the other way round: pregnancy, labour and postpartum are the curriculum, not an addition to it.
Graduates work through one integrated system, regardless of format — from Trimester-Specific Therapeutic Adaptations and the Clinical Reasoning to recognise a genuine contraindication, to Labour Preparation, Postpartum Recovery, Garbha Samskara, Maternal Nutrition and the Hormonal Physiology that shapes a mother's experience from conception through recovery.
The result is a teacher who understands not only what to modify, but why — someone a pregnant or postpartum student can trust in the room, taught by a programme designed entirely around her, not adapted for her afterward.
Ideal For
- Yoga Teachers
- Physiotherapists
- Midwives
- Doulas
- Obstetric & Maternity Nurses
- Childbirth Educators
- Women's Health Coaches
- Fitness Professionals
Also Suitable For
Women planning pregnancy, pregnant women, and dedicated yoga practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of pregnancy and postpartum care are also welcome to join. Since this is an advanced training, applicants should already have at least six months of regular yoga practice — we don't teach basic asanas here, so you're expected to arrive with a solid asana foundation.
Instead, the training focuses on what matters most: safely adapting practices for each trimester, modifying asanas, using props effectively, and building the confidence to support women through pregnancy, birth preparation and postpartum recovery.
How You Can Apply This Training
Teach prenatal & postnatal yoga classes
Design and lead trimester-safe pregnancy and postpartum-recovery sessions for groups or private clients, grounded in physiology — from your own studio, a hospital or midwifery setting, or an existing practice.
Recognise and safely manage low-risk and high-risk complications, rather than avoiding pregnant clients out of uncertainty.
Integrate Garbha Samskara, nutrition and fertility awareness into a complete maternal wellness offering.
Support postpartum recovery, lactation and the emotional transition to motherhood, including PPD awareness.
Continue into advanced women's health education, such as Stri Wellness's 300-Hour Hormone Alchemy training.
